Wicker Park

Wicker Park is home to about 26,000 residents within the West Town community of Chicago. It sits just west of the Kennedy Expressway and is best known for its hipster culture, strong art community, lively nightlife and thriving food spots.

Wicker Park is most well known for its array of commercial and entertainment-centered establishments. And also as a convenient place for downtown workers to live, due to how close it is to public transportation and The Loop. This has led to the creation of a plethora of new bars and stores designed to serve the residents of the community. Wicker Park is an extremely trendy community, known for its awesome bands, high fashion boutiques, delicious restaurants and artsy businesses.

In 2012, Wicker Park was named the #4 hippest hipster neighborhood in the country by Forbes. Since then, property value has risen and taxes increased, making the neighborhood attractive for real estate developers.
