What is the South Loop Summer Kickoff event in Chicago?
Hosted annually by real estate expert Tom Campone and the TC Group, the South Loop Summer Kickoff is a community event at Webster "Circle" Park celebrating the start of summer. The 4th annual event brought together over 300 neighborhood residents for delicious food by local favorite Alos Tacos, games, and family-friendly activities sponsored alongside local Chicago business partners.
Rain or Shine, the South Loop Shows Up
There is nothing quite like summer in Chicago—and there is no neighborhood that celebrates it quite like the South Loop!
In June, we hosted our 4th Annual South Loop Summer Kickoff at Webster "Circle" Park. As a local real estate expert, my goal has always been to build strong, connected neighborhoods, and this annual tradition is a highlight of my year.
This year was our biggest yet, with over 300 neighbors, clients, and friends gathered together to catch up, celebrate, and ring in the new season together. And while mother nature decided to throw some late-afternoon rain showers our way, the community spirit didn't skip a beat.
Tacos, Games, and Neighborhood Connections
The afternoon was packed with family-friendly energy, highlighting the exact neighborhood lifestyle perks that make living in the South Loop so special.
The Food: We brought back a neighborhood favorite, Alos Tacos, who kept everyone fed with a non-stop supply of incredible, fresh street tacos straight from the truck canopy, alongside a steady stream of movie-theater-style popcorn.
The Entertainment: From outdoor games and face painting to sports on the lawn, the kids (and adults!) kept the competitive spirit alive despite the clouds.

Why We Do It: 20 Years of South Loop Roots
Real estate is about so much more than transaction statistics, property values, and contract dates. It’s about the people who live within these blocks, the families enjoying our local parks, and the community network that makes a neighborhood feel like a true home base.
Having lived in the South Loop for over 20 years, this neighborhood is deeply personal to me. I’ve watched our community grow, adapt, and evolve into the vibrant urban oasis it is today. I am truly happiest when I am bringing people together, especially the incredible neighbors and families who share my love for this area.
Seeing hundreds of familiar faces laughing, sharing food, and connecting at Circle Park reminds me exactly why I chose to anchor my life and my business here two decades ago. Thank you to everyone who joined us to make our 4th annual event such a massive success. Here's to a beautiful, prosperous Chicago summer!
